Birth Debrief

Birth can have a lasting impact on everyone involved, and taking time to talk about it can be an important part of healing and understanding.

At Birthing Belonging, our birth debrief sessions offer a safe and supportive opportunity to reflect on your experience of birth.

In line with the COPE (2023) Guidelines for the Perinatal Mental Health, our approach is trauma-informed, reflective, and person-centred. We recognise that anyone involved in a birth can be affected, including the birthing person, partners, parents, families, their support circle, midwives, doctors and other health professionals (including students).

These sessions are not therapy, but a supportive space to explore and make sense of your experience. Together, we explore what happened, how it felt, and what might help you feel supported moving forward. Where appropriate, I can help identify trusted pathways for additional care or counselling.

Who facilitates the Debrief?

I'm Becky, an AHPRA-registered midwife with additional mental health and trauma informed care training. I have experience supporting families and clinicians through complex and emotionally challenging experiences. I bring both clinical insight and compassion to this work, creating a space where you can feel safe, heard, and respected.

How much does it cost?

Sessions are $100, and you can arrange an intro call by completing the form below. I will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange a time that suits you. Intro calls are free and you can decide whether the debrief is the right option for you.
If cost is a barrier, please let me know, as I can offer sessions free of charge when needed.
